Robin was determined to steer her life in the right direction. She decided to Join the world’s finest fighting force, the United States Marine Corps. Robin enlisted in the Marine Corps at the tender age of 19 during a time of war. While in the Marines, Robin exceled and earned the rank of Sergeant (E-5). She was selected for “Marine of the quarter” and prided herself on being immersed in the rich USMC traditions/culture.
Robin earned the “Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.” She supervised 300 plus Marines, managed over 20 buildings, provided military supplies for the entire (MCAGCC) base, and assisted with managing the logistics report for the command. Robin ran 237 miles for Marines assigned to the Wounded Warriors division and the 237th Marine Corps birthday. She also earned a black belt in mix martial arts.
Robin was a member of the “The Young Marines Mojave Vipers” and trained the members of the program. She was also awarded a “certificate of service” for volunteering at the local 29 Palms middle school in the Morongo Unified School District. Robin is an exemplary Marine and admirable leader. The adage states “once a Marine always a Marine.”
